Wow! don't you just love the mans language (Jacob Rees-Mogg ) ? For example he used the word specious to describe Mark Carney from the bank of England, so I went to look it up and here is its meaning "superficially plausible, but actually wrong" Genius. I am looking forward to him being PM.

  4. Steve Tuck says:

The style of questioning is becoming increasingly toadying, as it becomes evident that this particular cupboard is bare.

  6. Hondo Trailside says:

Mark Carney's reputation is a fraud whose main claim to fame was saving the Canadian financial system from the same precipice that swallowed several others, when the main reason was that the Bank act review process is a sclerotic one. And even that was not his doing. Canada was just lucky and he left us a mess that has morphed into the most out of control real estate market in the G8. If the key to survival pre-08 had been a responsive bank act that could adapt to change we would have been sunk.

JRM is one of the most honourable clever man in parliament today, and definitely Priminister material.

  10. Martin Maddog says:

totally agree with him on mark carney. he needs to go.

  11. Dave Coyle says:

The whole of parliament is treasonous as far as I can see the majority of mps are trying to throw a spanner in the works and the worst one of all is Dominic grieve, he has made it so we will not have the option of walking away no deal ,this strengthens the EU, grieve is a pro eu traiter! I hope he dies screaming on fire along with that aweful women sourberry !

  12. Pete Seagrave says:

Good News! The sanitaryware industry is set to thrive post-Brexit. Apparently there's no bog like a Mogg bog!
    Thank God for that.

  14. TheBritishReactor2 says:

If May sign's the UN's compact for migration on the 10th/11th of December, it's over for the Conservative party.

  15. LancashireLass NowUpNorth says:

It is close for there to be no viable political party to vote for. There are few politicians I trust. Thank you Jacob for your honest straight talking. You speak with integrity. How can one vote conservative, UKIP, Liberal or Labour? I have gone from feeling very positive about this nation to one of gloom and doom.

  16. spm36 says:

May sat at the back during the referendum watching and waiting to see how the dice would fall, scooped them up when she saw the dice fall in her favour and shouted ok I'm in the game now!

  17. RoginauldsWarFiles says:

The Maybot seems to be hardcoded into defying everybody. Can she be toppled? Would we get Dominic Raab or David Davis? I wish it was JRM but who could blame him for not wanting it?

  18. Christopher Rutherford says:

Too much attention on Brexit. Mrs May is signing the UN Global Compact on Migration this weekend under the radar. Among other things this agreement makes any criticism of immigration a hate crime, allows refugees to pick and choose which country to claim asylum in and makes migration a human right. No debate in Parliament and no mention in mainstream media.

  19. Roberto Orsi says:

I cannot understand (or I can) why a man like JRM is just a backbencher while some of the ministers have not a tenth of his intellectual stature, not to mention the PM.

  20. Mark and Cathy Nickerson says:

Mogg Rees would have been a brown shirt during WWII just like his father.

  22. Val Brooker says:

Treason May has been caught red handed lying her head off about this so called deal. The legal analysis was leaked last night. I gave a copy to my local MP and I know he read it. So more than likely they had all read it before today's parliamentary session. He told me what was going to happen, naming may for contempt of parliament for refusing to release the full document, where May had fed them a few cherry picked bits from it that gave a completely false impression. It's not a deal, it's terms of complete surrender. May has got to go, before she causes a civil war to restore democracy. It's going to be no deal, meaning the WTO. Otherwise there will be a civil war to restore democracy, guaranteed. Another guarantee, the hired help will like the result of that even less than their losing access to the illegal rackets bottomless pit of unaccounted for public money, there will be no place in it for any of the above.

  23. Tom Maj says:

The Irish Backstop = EU’s Trojan Horse.

  24. Tom Maj says:

  33. Paul Cox says:

No Traitor Mogg and his back stabber buddy Boris.

It's easy not making decisions from sidelines we could end up having Corbyn now that would be a disaster …..

  34. r998 says:

He should be negotiating with the EU. Strong mind, excellent at discussing without avoiding the question. Would make a great Minister and Prime Minister. Someone that makes you proud of the country rather than talking it down.

  35. Richard Ballinger says:

Dear Mr Mogg, I know you don't want to be prime minister so don't do it for yourself, do it for your country because we need you.

  36. Repulse theMonkey says:

Moggy, take note. The only people who want a ‘people’s vote’ are people who lost the first time around. Either we get what we voted for, no fudge, or there is no longer any point in voting.
