China’s Belt and Road Initiative is the most ambitious infrastructure project in modern history. It spans over 60 countries and will cost over a trillion dollars. The plan is to make it easier for the world to trade with China, by funding roads, railways, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects in Asia and Africa. China is loaning trillions of dollars to any country that’s willing to participate and it’s been a big hit with the less democratic countries in the region. This makes the BRI a risky plan as well. But China is pushing forward because its goals are not strictly economic, they’re also geopolitical.

To truly understand the international conflicts and trends shaping our world you need a big-picture view. Video journalist Sam Ellis uses maps to tell these stories and chart their effects on foreign policy.

China will not stand for the "social justice" movement that goes on in the US. You might as well get in line to export yourself to Russia. Same difference.

While the US is playing Checkers, and some countries are playing Chess with the world, China is playing GO and sees much more of the globe in it's entirety.

I am a Chinese student. In our social media, when we talk about the One Belt and One Road project we usually complain rather than applaud. That is because we have a lot of people still living in poverty standard even if China has become the second powerful country in the world. We hope our country can prioritize to dealing with the domestic problem than the overseas problem. We have been suffering for a long time, we hope our people can live better because the most hardworking people I have seen is the Chinese farmer.

  15. I'm fine with China's actions and all, just please make them stop bombarding my country's fishermen with water cannons, thanks.

  16. China will influence and the control segments of these cou tries and will slowly creep in and start a colony which will be supported with tariffs, sanctions if the member trade countries do not agree. From there, China's military will grow at each post to support its' interest and then theh will bring in nuclear and biological weapons with threats. It will only be a matter of time, they have been at this for a while, look at Pakistan, Malaysia, Kazakhstan just to name a few- African horn if you have the time. In each Chinese have and are making huge footprints, entire towns, artifical land islands, underground tunnels, mass transport hubs. There are some real brains behind all of this. Worst part, America just makes the world angrier and other countries merge closer and closer like the BRIC. Sure enough, the true problem here is that China makes junk and nobody wants it because all manufacturers figured out to a science, America wohld have to start mass manufacturing quality goods at discount. Which the labor laws themselves aside from taxes screws US. Another 30 years, this will get scary, the Yuan vs. the Dollar let's see what happpens right now.

Don't buy into this "West", "East" beef they will invent. There is no beef. We wish you all the best. The problem we have is a common one. The criminals running the "West" will want to own and control, exploit the Chinese economy as they do the American, "Western" one. These are the J$ws, Israelis already massively in China with the Sassoon family, the Kadoories, SHBC, the Israelis pouring billions into Chinese AI… They WILL atempt to take and exploit your achievements as they have ours. They will take control of China's politics as far as they have no complete control already. The thing is… As America declines as empirial goon they will probably want to use China as the new empirial "police nation" of Asia". They will pit you into wars you have no stake or business in. They will create massive internal strife for divide and rule. Your people will suffer and what "development", "economy" you have will be coerced to suit their goals and at the condition of their dictatorship. You will be blamed for these wars afterwrds as they've always done. You have to purge China from the hostile J$w influence. THEN you can really make progress. Because now you're breeding a race horse shakled to a J$w, kosher butcher's plow. You won't be able to enjoy the achievements, developments in China if they take place under these conditions. It will be a worse than pyrrhic victory as you were only a tool for your enemies. Do not let that happen. These same people created the Opium wars.

Conquering the world with debt traps promise of a better future the Chinese biggest scam, and when people and nation's finally open their eyes it will already be to late people see the USA and call it the enemy of the world wait till the future then we will see how decent the USA really was

  24. These roads and railways could also transport troops and tanks, mobile artillery and rocket launchers. Don't underestimate the ambition of the Chinese Communist Party, nor their megalomania, nor their belief that theirs is the best system for the world.

  25. Hea Jung kim says:

No no, this is fake as hell. I'm Chinese, the government gives the fake number of the GDP, the real GDP is one fourth of the one they claimed or even less. Most of us living in an extremely poor life, we can't even afford eggs and coca cola. You can't believe I'm this county, if you can afford the eggs, it shows you a rich person. People from the west and central parts of China are even still eating grasses as food. I'm being serious, we are as poor as most African countries. And I believe it is INDIA who will be the next superpower. India is far ahead of China in almost every field. Do not believe in any Chia data.

Meaning of One Belt One Road in New World Order (NWO) Dictionary:
We decided to forsake the U.S. because it has worn out so much due to our filthy acts throughout the globe. We've prepared the infrastructure to give the role of U.S. to China. Now it's time to shift the center of geopolitical power.
P.S. Trump is our loyal man to hasten the collapse of this exhausted Empire.

  29. Grimah says:

I like how they are trying to make China sinister. What's wrong with letting countries govern and regulate their own? And china is giving them a chance to use that investment to increase their own GDP. If they don't then it's their opportunity lost, who knows what leadership will be in these countries and what they will do if they decided to try and improve education and technology then maybe they will have a chance. South Korea went from being poorer than the Congo to a 1st world power in 25 years (or so).
